Sam Holst
Sam is an award-winning, cinematic storyteller with an ability to cross genres, from comedy to drama and back again. A master craftsman with a strong visual style and incomparable eye for casting and performance, he always brings great subtlety and refinement to any film.
Whether it's the smallest observations of everyday life, an entirely surreal set of circumstances or larger narrative pieces, he has the rare talent to pull heart strings, tickle the funny bone and have people on the edge of their seats in suspense with direction of the highest order.
His short film MEATHEAD premiered In Competition at the Cannes Film Festival and was awarded the Crystal Bear for Best Short Film in Generation at the Berlin Film Festival. He was also selected for the Cannes Cinéfondation Residence in Paris, to write and develop original feature drama, LAST AUTUMN, currently in financing.
Sam’s work in advertising is always bold and often iconic, winning awards at top creative shows all over the world, including Gold at the Cannes Lions, Clios and AICP.
